iPhone to be Making Aliyah in October

It has been a long wait, but it seems the iPhone is finally poised to make its debut in Israel. Pelephone and Orange have both placed obtrusive iPhone 3G-S ads on their sites, announcing its imminent coming. Israeli blog The Gadget Spot reports that the phone should arrive in October, although most details are still unknown, including pricing schemes. iDigital is definitely on its way to bringing the iPhone in on its own, however the date is still unclear.

Cellcom is the one Israeli operator not offering the iPhone. Maybe Cellcom will redeem itself by bringing in the new HTC Magic, or even newer Android handsets. We can only hope.
